Unmarried Visa
In a genuine relationship for two years or more?
The UK Unmarried Partner Visa allows eligible couples to live together
in the UK without being married or in a civil partnership. Since January
2024, couples no longer have to prove that they have lived together for
two years, but they must still demonstrate a genuine and subsisting
relationship.
Cohabitation is no longer mandatory, but strong relationship evidence is essential.
Without a marriage or civil partnership certificate, your application
needs to clearly demonstrate that your relationship is genuine,
subsisting and similar to marriage or civil partnership.
If you have not lived together, we can help you build a clear evidence
bundle explaining your circumstances and demonstrating the strength of
your relationship.
