UK Graduate Visa
The UK Graduate Visa allows eligible international students to remain in the UK after completing a qualifying degree and work without employer sponsorship. It provides graduates with valuable time to gain UK work experience and plan their next immigration step.
Who Can Apply?
You may be eligible if you have successfully completed an eligible UK bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree while holding a valid Student Visa. You must apply from inside the UK before your current Student Visa expires.
What Can You Do?
- Work for any employer without sponsorship
- Work in most jobs and sectors
- Be self-employed or start a business
- Look for work and gain UK experience
Graduate Visa Duration
Most bachelor's and master's graduates can currently stay for up to 2 years, while PhD graduates can stay for up to 3 years.
From 1 January 2027, the Graduate Visa for bachelor's and master's graduates will reduce to 18 months.
